Cashmerette - Tobin Sweater
As part of my entry into the sewing.patternreview contest 'Endless Combinations' contest I made the Cashmerette Tobin Sweater in scuba.
June 1st - June 30th 2022
The goal of this contest is to build a wardrobe of garments that will never be wardrobe orphans. Each piece will always have something it can be worn with! Start with one garment, and then each subsequent garment you sew must coordinate with the PREVIOUS garment. No chance of orphan garments with this method!
EXAMPLE I
1. Sew item A - Blouse.
2. Next item B - Jacket, which must co-ordinate and work with Blouse A.
3. Item C - Skirt, must co-ordinate with Jacket B. It does not have to work with Blouse A - if it does that’s a bonus for you!
4. Item D must work with Skirt C.
Create and sew an "Endless Combination" wardrobe of at least four items that coordinate in the way described above. (A+B, B+C, C+D). There is no upper limit to the number of items in your Endless Combination.

This modern sweater pattern is designed for curves, with cup sizes from C – H and bodice darts, so you can get a fantastic fit at the bust as well as the rest of your body.
Experiment with all the options: View A features a split neck, chic color-blocking, and wide cuffs, View B has a cowl neck and swingy high-low hem, while View C is a classic sweatshirt.

Pattern Sizing:
12-32 PDF Pattern & 12-28 Paper Pattern C/D, E/F & G/H cup option with all sizes.
I made size 18 Gcup
Fabric:
Polyester micro rib Scrub knit from Tricia’s Discount Fabrics, Adelaide.
The main stretch of my fabric ran between the selvedges so I only used 1.5m to make my size 18 G cup Tobin.
It's simple construction, I made view B with a straight hemline. It was quick to cut out and sew up. A good weekend afternoon project.
The cowl collar is large but drapes very nicely because it has a slight curve to the shape. I did understitched the top seam that joins the inside collar to the outside collar piece. This stopped the under collar rolling out and the seam line showing.
